About
Hello, I am Kehinde Odutayo
Documentary Director with expertise in storytelling, creative direction and Aerial videography

I am a documentary filmmaker based in Lagos, Nigeria, fueled by an unwavering curiosity about people, culture, place, and memory. I have a degree in Political Science from the University of Ibadan, a diploma in office technology and management and a certificate in Film and television production.
I am a creative based in Lagos, Nigeria, with over six years of experience in storytelling, film, and video production. I currently serve as the Creative Director at KKG Films, where I lead projects from concept to final edit. My work focuses on telling clear, honest stories rooted in people, place, and social change. I have gained a deep understanding of how policy, history, and identity shape our daily lives.
I work with an observational and immersive method, allowing environments and subjects to reveal themselves with honesty. My style is cinematic but restrained and grounded in realism, patient framing, and emotional precision. I approach each story as a collaboration, prioritising dignity, context, and clarity.
I have worked with organisations, businesses, artists and corporations producing documentaries and visual projects that document urban development, culture, large-scale urban transformation, sustainability, and creative expression.
Through these collaborations, I have created films that inform, engage, and reach wide audiences. My work has also been distributed through platforms like Shutterstock, Getty Images, iStock, and Blackbox.
Over the years, I have contributed to documentaries and written pieces covering real estate, the creative economy, climate change, tourism, and environmental protection. I have participated in leadership and mentorship programs with YALI, the British Council, and the World Youth Forum, strengthening both my creative and strategic thinking. I am also a recipient of the Best Filmmaker 2025 at Areteworks Storytelling Workshop in Togo.
Documentary filmmaking is my tool for understanding the world. I use it to explore communities, preserve memory, and highlight change across Africa.
My goal is simple: to travel, listen, observe, and tell stories that are grounded, human, and lasting.
