Hello, I am Kehinde Odutayo

Documentary Director with expertise in storytelling, creative direction and Aerial videography

I am a documentary filmmaker based in Lagos, Nigeria, fueled by an unwavering curiosity about people, power, place, and memory. My journey began with a degree in Political Science from the University of Ibadan, where I gained a deep understanding of how policy, history, and identity shape our daily lives.

This academic foundation sharpened my analytical perspective, while my Certificate in Film and Television Production from KAP Film and Television Academy honed my technical skills and storytelling abilities. Together, these experiences have defined my approach to film as both inquiry and powerful expression.

With over six years of experience, I have mastered the entire spectrum of production—scripting, directing, cinematography, editing, and creative direction. In my roles as a Documentary Filmmaker and Creative Director at KKG Films, I have produced more than 50 documentaries, leading dynamic teams and effectively documenting large-scale urban transformation, sustainability, conservation, creative economy, climate change, tourism and environmental protection.

My work has reached hundreds of thousands of viewers, significantly enhancing digital engagement and global visibility for the projects I champion. I employ an observational, immersive method that compels environments and subjects to reveal their truths.

My cinematic style is purposeful and restrained, grounded in realism, patient framing, and emotional precision. I approach each story as a collaboration, firmly prioritising dignity, context, and clarity.

My long-term vision is nothing short of inspiring: to travel the globe, capturing and sharing the unique and vibrant stories of the African people.
